Another big tick of approval for major transport infrastructure projects designed, funded and built by the NSW Liberals and transforming Sydney’s public transport network.
Thrilled to share the news that the Sydney Metro City Stations are finalists in the 2025 NSW Architecture Awards, Urban Design category. The six new and two altered stations are part of the new metro rail line connecting Chatswood to the CBD and Sydenham – a project that was not supported by Labor in 2015 (after it also cancelled a comparable project in 2010).
In addition, Sydney Metro Stations, extensions and precincts are finalists in a number of award categories :
Public Architecture:
Barangaroo Station | Foster + Partners, Architectus and Atelier Luke
Central Station, Sydney | Woods Bagot with John McAslan + Partners
Martin Place Metro Station | Grimshaw
Waterloo Station | John McAslan + Partners
Sustainability Category:
Central Station, Sydney | Woods Bagot with John McAslan + Partners
Urban Design Category:
Martin Place Metro Precinct | Tzannes, Grimshaw, JPW
The 2025 NSW Architecture Awards showcase an extraordinary array of architectural talent and innovation from across NSW. The highly anticipated winners will be revealed at the Awards Ceremony night on Friday 20 June 2025.
Congratulations to all the finalists and good luck!

Shame on you in your choice to support the horrid Greens abortion up to birth bill . 😡
How dare you vote for pro abortion legislation.
Dr Jo Howe thanks you for the free publicity Mark. Watch her following explode now the normies have seen her on the nightly news speaking truth to power. Who do you think a lot of people are going to support in this stoush: the shiny bum politicians using their publicly funded bully pulpits to attack a member of the public or the mum of 5 advocating for innocent human lives?
You failed
If you voted yes to the death bill you're going to lose your position. We'll make sure of it Mark Speakman
You are evil. You are a child killer by supporting the abortion bill. You will not be leader of the Liberal party at the next election. Your colleagues have already started to plan
Hi Mark, such a shame it’s rewarding people in a seat loyal to the Labor party cause as well as in areas like Parramatta, nothing similar has been built or delivered in the safe liberal seat such as Cronulla or nearby. The Miranda metro line should have been fast tracked under a coalition state government and benefited our electorate. This is now well and truly on the back burner under a labor state government.

Congratulations to @sussanleymp on her election to lead the Federal Liberals, the first woman to do so.
Under Sussan’s leadership, the Liberal Party can offer a compelling vision grounded in our core values of individual freedom, personal responsibility, reward for effort, and opportunity and a fair go for all.
The NSW Liberals look forward to working with Sussan and her Deputy @ted.obrien.mp to renew the Liberal Party and ultimately deliver better outcomes for all Australians. ... See MoreSee Less

Best wishes for tremendous success.
Two incredibly sensible leaders. We are lucky in NSW. Onward and upward 🙏🏼💪🏼
Congrats
Congratulations!
Fingers crossed!
Congratulations Susan let's make Australia number 1 again 🇭🇲
Congratulations to the next PM

The Labor govt. and its jackals will tear her to shreds. There is no point in electing a woman leader just because of her sex, unless she has the character and ability of a Margaret Thatcher or a Giorgia Meloni.
Only way Australian's can have a fair go is if Net Zero is dropped
Just fold the party and start again
Unfortunately they are both
Congratulations Susan Ley. Hope you can eliminate all the toxic individuals to make our party liberal again.
I am counting on you to get things going for Libs. .
The other bloke was blown away by even mention of the potential deputy.
Liberals are supposed to have a conscience and support religion, little of this have we seen!!!
Congratulations Susan, go girl, go!
Due to the closeness of the vote, I think she may have tumultuous time , trying to unite this rabble.
VOTE NO Australia need to stop KILLING THEIR INNOCENT CHILDREN! www.facebook.com/DrJoannaHowe/videos/2071684856641316
To the new party
What’s she going to do about excessive taxation and regulations
Congratulations Sussan. I would have been happy with either you or Angus. I see from the abhorrent comments, the Labor Lying Party supporters; obviously are very salty. Hilarious!
What a disappointment, after 10,000 of us stood outside parliament showing strength in the face of evil, you are still voting for this abortion bill. What a disgrace. Joanna Howe is shining a light on your true colours for all of us to see.
Hopefully a true conservative party will take Liberals place now given they are determined to get rid of their donors and alienate the few remaining supporters they had - the support for the Greens abortion laws was a nice finishing touch to remove any lingering doubt voters had regarding Liberals morals.
Need to know where she stands on what is man & woman & climate folly

Happy Mother’s Day!
Today is a day to mark and give thanks for all that mothers do.

Happy mother's day
What a beautiful post. Thank you Mark.
Mark Speakman - if you truly value mothers - please oppose the Abortion Law Reform Amendment Bill in Parliament today. This proposed Bill poses an ongoing threat to the health and wellbeing of women by allowing nurses and midwives to administer the abortion drug MS-2 Step, which could result in serious medical complications and psychological distress for women.
Justices of the Peace provide remarkable volunteer services to the people of NSW.
This week at Parliament of NSW we thanked JPs who’ve reached a milestone of 50 years of service - including, from the Cronulla electorate, Mike Batty PSM, Bob Rogers and June Samuel. ... See MoreSee Less

It was great to visit Kamay Botany Bay National Park recently and see the new visitor centre taking shape.
The visitor centre is expected to be completed next year. Together with the new amenities blocks at Commemoration Flat and Cricket Pitch, the new whale watching platform, walking track upgrades, car park and other improvements, the park will be an even better place to visit. ... See MoreSee Less
