🦁I’d be lion if I said the Downing Centre isn't a big part of Sydney’s heritage. Thrilled to announce @NSWJustice investing $10.6m into the grand old dame of justice, retail and screen to restore awnings, 4 new courtrooms and a refresh for its infamous ‘crime scene’ bathrooms⚖️
⚖️$10.6m upgrade for the Downing Centre, including 4 extra state of the art courtrooms, 6 interview rooms, 3 remote witness rooms and, not flushed for cash, but spending more than a penny on bathrooms.
⚖️#NSW Parliament has now established the #CoerciveControl committee chaired by @natwardmlc to start its inquiry.
⚖️The NSW government's extensive Discussion Paper is at http://www.crimeprevention.nsw.gov.au/domesticviolence/Pages/coercive-control-discussion-paper.aspx. I urge all across the community to read it + have your voice heard. #nswpol #DV #VAW
