SIX CLUBS SHARE NEARLY $50,000 IN GRANTS FOR CRONULLA SPORT

Six clubs in the Cronulla electorate will share in nearly $50,000 through the NSW Local Sport Grant Program.

This is a great boost for local sports clubs to help them fund much needed equipment and programs.

These competitive grants are always a popular and I congratulate volunteers from the successful clubs on the hard work they put into their applications.

From Grays Point to Cronulla, the grants will help people of all ages enjoy sport and get active.

The successful applicants are:

  • Cronulla Seagulls Football Club (replacement MiniRoos goals) $16,120
  • Cronulla Caringbah Sharks JRLFC (clubhouse upgrade) $15,000
  • Cronulla Triathlon Club (equipment for junior loan program) $6,500
  • Cronulla Sailing Club (Learn to Sail Safely equipment) $3,781
  • Cronulla Bowls Club (‘Get Them In and Keep Them Going’ program) $3,664
  • Grays Point Soccer Club (10 new mini porta goals) $3,627.

Grants of between $2,000 and $20,000 per project were available, with up to $50,000 available in each NSW electorate.
