Large increases in housing have to be matched by appropriate infrastructure.
In the Castle Hill Showground precinct around the metro station, which opened in 2019, the NSW Liberals in government capped new homes at 5000. In 2022 the Liberals called for expressions of interest for supply of a school site.
Labor has now removed the cap, allowing for 9500 new homes - and potentially more if the Government’s 30% bonus on affordable housing is considered. This could mean over 20,000 new residents.
The Minns Labor Government has not made any plans for building new schools in the Showground precinct. If it wants to build more homes, it must also fulfill its promise to provide the necessary infrastructure to support them. ... See MoreSee Less

Mark, that goes the same for your own electorate!

Why are you so bad at this? Can we please have a leader who can take the challenge to the Government?
Should never have changed housing nsw nor should governments select housing homes or flats there are so many people who are homeless its no good relying upon private contractors for housing
Talk about calling the kettle black.liberals approved box hill development with no school no public transport, no shopping centre, houses packed in like sardines in a can
